On September 14, the national standard promotion and implementation conference (Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area) for Artificial Intelligence – Intelligent Agent Interconnection, themed "Connecting the Bay Area to Jointly Build a New AI Collaborative Ecosystem," was held at Building 5, Qianhai, Shenzhen. The conference aimed to accelerate the implementation and promotion of the industry's first national standard for intelligent agent interconnection, unblock the full chain of intelligent agent interconnection standards, technologies, and industrial ecosystems, and support the large-scale deployment and application of intelligent agent technologies.
Fan Shujian, former Deputy Director General and First-Level Inspector of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Li Jincheng, Level IV Researcher of the Development Division of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Guo Nan, Vice President of the China Electronics Standardization Institute; Zhang Hongtu, Chairman of the China Electronics Industrial Standardization Technology Association; Sun Wenlong, Executive Vice President of the Beijing Artificial Intelligence Standardization Research Institute; Fan Lixia, Level II Researcher of the Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Division (Manufacturing Innovation Division) of the Shenzhen Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau; Xu Junwei, Director of the Standards Division of the Shenzhen Municipal Administration for Market Regulation; Fang Fei, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Division of the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone; Li Shiming, Level II Researcher of the Digital Development Division of the Shenzhen Municipal Government Services and Data Management Bureau; and Dong Jian, Director of the Information Center of the China Electronics Standardization Institute and Secretary-General of the Artificial Intelligence Subcommittee of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee, attended the conference, together with representatives from Guangdong Mobile, 1688, SenseTime, Lingyi iTech, Skyworth, Wutong Fund, Huawei International Hong Kong, Macau University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Web3.0 Standardization Association, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Bay Area industrial cluster platforms, and other enterprises, institutions, and media, totaling more than 200 people.
The conference was moderated in phases by Tan Ruihu, Deputy Director of the National Engineering Research Center for Electronic Information Product Standardization, and Bao Wei, Ph.D., from the Information Center of the China Electronics Standardization Institute. Centering on the GB/Z 185-2026 standard Artificial Intelligence – Intelligent Agent Interconnection and key topics such as intelligent agent capability assessment, the conference combined standard promotion, joint release, and practice sharing, providing a unified rules foundation for cross-domain trusted collaboration and interconnection and interoperability of intelligent agents.
Guo Nan, Vice President of the China Electronics Standardization Institute, said that as artificial intelligence is accelerating and evolving, intelligent agents are becoming important carriers for empowering all industries. The China Electronics Standardization Institute has focused on key industrial development issues such as trusted cross-domain collaboration and interconnection of intelligent agents, and has led the preparation of the Artificial Intelligence – Intelligent Agent Interconnection series of national standards. Held in Shenzhen and drawing on the solid industrial development foundation of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, this conference pushed the intelligent agent interconnection standards to the front line of industry, created a benchmark for standard implementation and application, and promoted the standardized and orderly development of the national intelligent agent industry. Next, the Institute will continue to improve the intelligent agent standards system, empower industrial innovation with standards, and help China's intelligent agent industry deeply integrate into the global industrial chain and value chain.
Li Jincheng, Level IV Researcher of the Development Division of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, pointed out that standards play an important role in guiding innovation, promoting development, and ensuring security. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has continuously promoted the innovative development of the artificial intelligence industry, encouraged independent innovation, promoted application empowerment, reinforced the development bottom line, and optimized the industrial ecosystem, while using standards to lead high-quality development of the artificial intelligence industry. It has also organized the establishment of an interconnection prototype system to complete core function verification and guided the launch of the Joint Initiative on Co-building and Sharing Intelligent Agent Protocols and related work.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has a relatively complete artificial intelligence industrial chain and innovation ecosystem. The conference brought together leading enterprises, universities, and standardization organizations in the region, and through the combination of standard promotion and industrial practice, further promoted intelligent agent technology from standard consensus to engineering implementation. At the conference, representatives of multiple institutions and enterprises exchanged views on application scenarios, technical implementation, and industrial collaboration for intelligent agent interconnection, providing reference paths for cross-domain intelligent agent collaboration.
As artificial intelligence evolves from single models to multi-agent systems, standardized interconnection and interoperability rules have become a key support for the large-scale development of the industry. The convening of this conference not only promoted the early implementation of the national standard Artificial Intelligence – Intelligent Agent Interconnection in the Greater Bay Area, but also provided a demonstration for the standardized and orderly development of the national intelligent agent industry. In the future, multiple parties will continue to deepen standard implementation and industrial collaboration, and jointly build an open, trustworthy, and efficient intelligent agent interconnection ecosystem.
